AMANAC is a collaboration and coordination platform across all the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology research projects functioning under the frame of the EeB-PPP (Public-Private Partnership on Energy-efficient Buildings).
AMANAC´s activities address development of advanced materials, components and systems for the improvement of the energy efficiency in the built environment. The cluster aims at uniting efforts, promoting synergies and fields of cooperation. This with allow its members to push in the same direction and become more productive, competitive and successful to maximise the impact of their projects and developed technologies towards the broader European industry and society. Furthermore, this approach would grant them to effectively support the objectives established by the European Commission and the EeB-PPP.
The cluster is divided into six thematic areas: “Insulation Materials”; “Embodied Energy or Reduced Embodied Energy”; “Smart Windows”; “Lightweight Components”, “Indoor Environment or Air Quality” and “Pilot Production”.
The thematic area “Embodied Energy” focuses on using low embodied energy construction materials with the purpose of reducing the total energy use of a building. ISOBIO belongs to this area, together with the related projects, also EU-funded, SUS-CON, LEEMA, BioBuild and ECO-Binder.
